Situated in the southern part of Rush County, Indiana, Milroy is a census-designated place that is located in Anderson Township. In 1830, Milroy was laid out and platted. As of 2010, Milroy has a population of approximately 604 residents according to the United States Census Bureau.
Although Milroy is a not a large place, there are still things to see and do around the town and located within a short distance. Individuals looking to eat in Milroy will find there are restaurants such the Takathemoke, which serves customers home-style food in a friendly small town atmosphere. Also located in Milroy are multiple gas stations and two United States Postal Service offices. Many individuals will enjoy taking a drive through the city, especially in the fall when the town’s landscape is bursting with color. The well-manicured town is home to many beautiful historic buildings that are scattered throughout. There are also many beautiful old homes located in Milroy.
